File Integrity Validation for Digital Datasets

The SHA-256 serves as a unique fingerprint for each file. Verifying the checksum confirms that the file is not corrupted or has been tampered with during transfer.

Each AIXM file (.xml) released in a dataset is accompanied by a SHA-256 checksum file (.xml.sha256) which contains the hash of the SHA-256 checksum operation performed by the QCAA.

Verification Process with the QCAA Datasets
