1 EN-ROUTE CHARGES

1.1 GENERAL
1.1.1 An en-route charge will be payable by the owner or operator of the aircraft concerned in respect of each flight carried out, whether in whole or in part within the Doha FIR, which entails the use of facilities provided by the Doha Air Traffic Control Centre in accordance with authorized procedures.
1.1.2 A flight is defined as the complete process of take - off, journey en-route and subsequent landing.
1.1.3 The assessment for the en-route charge is based on a sliding scale relating to the maximum permitted take-off weight of the aircraft.
1.2 SCALE OF CHARGES FOR AIR NAVIGATION SERVICES
1.2.1 An aircraft entering and landing at an airport within the Doha FIR will be charged for each flight in accordance with the following table. A similar charge will be made on leaving the FIR.

1.2.2 Aircraft transiting the Doha FIR without landing will be charged for each flight in accordance with the following table.

2 EXEMPTIONS AND REDUCTIONS

2.1 EXEMPTIONS
2.1.1 The following aircraft will be exempted from air navigation charges.
  1. Aircraft of Heads of State.
  2. Aircraft of United Nations (UN).
  3. Aircraft used free of charge in ambulance operations, search and rescue operations, as well as aircraft of the Red Cross/Red Crescent.
2.2 REDUCTIONS
2.2.1 Fifty percent (50%) reduction to standard charges will be granted for the aircraft taking off from an airport within the Doha FIR and returning due;
  1. technical reasons.
  2. weather conditions.

3 METHODS OF PAYMENT

3.1 Air Navigation charges are levied by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.

3.2 Invoices are prepared monthly and mailed to operator.
3.3 The invoice amount is in Qatari Riyals and shall be paid in favour of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.
3.4 Invoices shall be settled within thirty (30) days from the invoice date.
3.5 Payments can be made through Bank transfer to the QCAA account.

3.6 To ensure proper billing, owners, operators and aircraft management companies are requested to submit their current/updated fleet list as well as updates of operator/owner contacts to Accounts.Receivable@caa.gov.qa. Information must also include the MTOW of the aircraft.
