Map

INFO  You can use the map also with a tablet PC.

For a legend of the symbols shown on the map, refer to Tab Legend.

INFO  The map shows Terminal Manoeuvring Areas (TMAs) as specified in the ICAO International Civil Aviation Organization Annex 4 (refer to ICAO Annex 4).

To add a point to the route or show information:

 1.  Click a point in the map.
The context menu for the point opens.
 2.  Select an item from the context menu.

To change the route in the map:

 1.  Drag-and-drop the route with the mouse.
The context menu for the point opens.
 2.  Select an item from the context menu.

The context menu can show the following items:

Element Description

ADD

Add the airport, NAVAID, Waypoint or point to the route (refer to Tab Route).

INF

Show information on the selected item.

Information on restricted areas is shown in the tab Rest. Area (refer to Tab Rest. Area).

INS

Add the point to the middle of the route.

MOD

Change the point for the selected airport, NAVAID, Waypoint or point.

DEL

Remove the point from the route.

The map has the following icons and commands:

Element Description

Route to FPL

Adds the route to the FPL Flight Plan Message form and opens the FPL form.

For details refer to Create FPL.

Zoom

Zooms the map so that is shows all route points.

Export

Exports the route as *.gpx file.

Help

Opens the online help.

Move the map.

You can also drag-and-drop with the mouse to move the map.

Zooms the map in (+) and out (-).

You can also use the mouse wheel to zoom.

Click the globe icon to show the entire map.

IFR Hi, IFH Lo, VFR

Select which navigation information is shown on the map.

INFO  The available layers depend on the system configuration.

, Overlays

Opens a pane where you can select/deselect overlays that are shown on the map.

Opens a pane where you can see the position of the current view on the entire map.

If your route is within Safety distance to restricted areas of a restricted area, the icon is shown. Click the icon to see information on the restricted area (refer to Tab Rest. Area).

If your route intersects a restricted area, the icon is shown. Click the icon to see information on the restricted area (refer to Tab Rest. Area).
