GEN 1.5 AIRCRAFT INSTRUMENTS, EQUIPMENT AND FLIGHT DOCUMENTS
1 General
1.1 Foreign Commercial air transport aircraft operating within Doha FIR must adhere to the provisions of Qatar Civil Aviation Regulations (QCAR no.15 of 2017) - Air Operations of Foreign Operators.
1.2 National aircraft operating within Doha FIR must comply with the applicable Qatar Civil Aviation Regulations (QCAR 002/2016 as amended).
1.3 The requirements of the President of Civil Aviation and the general conditions under which the communication and navigation services are available for international use, as well as the requirements for the carriage of aircraft instrument, equipment and flight documents by all aircraft operating within Doha FIR, are contained in QCAR 002/2016 as amended.
2 Equipment to be carried by all types of flights
2.1 All commercial air transport aircraft operating within Doha FIR, shall be equipped with SSR 4096 code capability of functioning in Mode S and comply with the specifications of QCAR 10 Part IV.
2.2 All fixed-wing turbine-engine aircraft having maximum take-off mass in excess of 5 700 KG or approved passenger seating configuration of more than 19, are required to be equipped with ACAS II software version 7.1 or later . Failure to comply with this requirement shall not be permitted to operate within Doha FIR.
